 Tinchule
is a mountain village near Darjeeling.
It is a relatively new tourist spot attracting off beat eco
tourists. Around Tinchule you can go for sight seeing at the
Sai Temple, Tinchule monastery, Sunrise Point, Durpin Dara
and Gumbadara view point.
The Sunrise point is an excellent place
to view sunrise in the morning. Also this hill top provides
fantastic view of the East Himalayan mountain range. The Gumbadara
view point provides a very wide view of the river Tista from
above.
Accommodation :- The concept of eco-tourism
has been applied in Tinchule successfully. You get to stay
with the villagers in their huts. The tariff for the accommodation
may be as low as Rs. 250 per day. The food you get is home
cooked and quite ample. |
