The orange country retreat is arguably the best place to stay among Mirik Hotels. Perched on a hill top, the resort provides a birds view of the Mirik Lake and the surroundings. On a clear day the resort provides the best view of the Kunchenjunga massif from anywhere in Mirik.

The 12 cottages at orange country retreat are all two storied, the ground floor consisting of sitting room whereas the leaving room is upstairs. The Mirik helipad, a common sight seeing point for its vantage location, is next to the resort.

The orange country retreat is a property owned by Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council (DGHC). It was leased to a private group to function as a hotel. At the moment the lease has ended and DGHC is not taking any more booking for the property. Once bookings open again, we will notify our guests accordingly. Meanwhile, guests can book the other hotels at Mirik.
