The event of Total Solar Eclipse in Siliguri was organised by us on 22nd July, 2009. The response was nice and encouraging. The Location scouting was done by Mr. Debasis Sarkar. We are obliged to him. We are grateful to Mr. Chaitanya Dalal (Mumbai)  Mr Suresh Sali (Mumbai), Medha Sali ( Mumbai) and Mr. Uma Shankar (Mumbai) for their valuable contribution on the subject. Though the event was disheartning for the sky watcher as their was an overcast sky yet the community spread the message of the importance of the event. Each of these gentleman are knowledgeable and their presense encouraged many more to join the sky watcher group. We sincerely hope that they do visit us again in future.
