The Skipper of Team India Sourav Ganguly and his deputy Rahul Dravid will come to Siliguri on 9th August with the noble intention of increasing awareness about the forests and wildlife of North Bengal. The urban Development and Municipal Affairs Minister Mr. Ashok Bhattacharya declared this.

In this regard Mr. Bhattacharya added that the other members of Indian Team would also take part in this mission. According to the local environmental lobbies the popularity of the International cricketers will help a lot in raising the funds and will also make more people involved in this initiative.

This is the second time when the members of the Indian senior cricket team are getting involved in this type of project. Sourav and some of his teammates represented Darjeeling Tea as the brand ambassador in the international market.

A Rs.12 lakhs project of Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority of a Cricket Museum named as 'Kriradipti' will also be inaugurated by Sourav and Rahul.
