Kalimpong, Dec. 12: Durpin
Hill, a tourist spot located 3 km from Kalimpong, will have
added attractions plus the Zang Dhok Palri Phudong monastery
and the view point of Kalimpong. It is situated in an altitude
of 1,372 meters and had a tea-house which was shut down because
it was running at a loss.
A company named J & M has taken over
the tea house and wishes to convert it into a lodge and restaurant.
The lodge consists of six double-bed rooms, a dorm, a multi-cuisine
restaurant and a shop for traditional handicrafts, antiques
and ethnic costumes.
A short half-day trek through Kamsi forest
and rock climbing activities plus horse rides will also be
introduced in the forest next season.
