Toy Train place to the nuptialknot Dt- 02.02.0505

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is now planning to invite people to tie the nuptial knot in the recently-introduced Holiday Special Toy Train.

Though we have seen toy train in several films and become exited to enjoy its ride. Now this desire of thousands people is going to fulfill. Mr. Tarak Nath Bhattacharya, assistant commercial manager, NF Railway, told, `After getting response from several people who wants to organize their marriage ceremony in the toy train, we thought about it and we are now ready to do something like this.` Newly launched Holiday Special Toy Train has increased the revenue of DHR and DHR has breathed a sigh of relief. Not only this Holiday Special Toy Train but also some other version of troy train like passenger, joyride and chartered trains, are on the profit track. `A new coach would soon be introduced in the Holiday Special to make its passenger carrying capacity 70,` the ACM said. The train can now hold 50 passengers. To make this toy train more popular among the tourist the Minister of Railways is planning to hand over the loss-making DHR to RITES Limited, a public sector undertaking company. A team of RITES had recently visited the region for a feasibility study of the proposed plan.
