First peek at film to boost tourism Dt. - 07/02/05

Ban O Parjataney Cooch Behar (forests and tourism in Cooch Behar), a documentary film show on the tourism aspects of Cooch Behar has been inaugurated today here in the Netaji Indoor Stadium by the State forest minister Mr. Jogesh Chandra Barman.
Some other people including the State tourism minister Mr. Dinesh Chandra Dakua, Library minister Mr. Nimai Mal, Cooch Behar DFO (wildlife), Mr. Kalyan Das and DFO (social forestry) Mr. AK Samanta were present there in the ceremony.

The cameraman of the documentery was introduced by the organizer. According to Mr. Barman this documentary will help Cooch Behar to become a popular tourist spot.This documentary film contains the history of this place and the tourist spot, parks etc. It also highlights the wild beauty of forests and the places of interest in the region, to attract tourists.Outsider will be able to know about this and they will be attracted by its beauty. It has been possible to make such a film by the zilla parishad because forest department extended their helping hand to fulfill this task. The film will be dubbed into English language and will be shown in the different places of the country which will attract tourists. The added attractions of the film are the details of the forests during the days of the erstwhile Maharajas of Cooch Behar, past and present of the formation of forests here. The documentary film shows the migratory birds at the Rasik-bil tourism centre in Tufanganj, the Raj Palace Garden, including the musical fountain, and the Tinbigha corridor. Except these all the reach culture of Cooch Behar has been mentioned in the documentary film.
