West Bengal Forest Development Corporation
has taken up a new initiative to make the nights more exiting
for tourists in Lava and Loleygaon. A major complain of the
visitors to these hill stations has been lack of activity
after the dark. The corporation has now decided that they
will install DVD players in all the rooms of the lodges. The
tourists will enjoy movies on eco-tourism.
The visitors seek solitude in the lap of the nature in Lava
and Loleygaon. Every year the number of visitors is growing.
Lack of entertainment in this two place after the sunset in
the evening is pushing them back in competition to other tourist
spot.
N. Muruli, WBFDC divisional manager said
that the main intension behind the project is to ensure that
tourists enjoy every moment of their stay here in Lava and
Loleygaon. The films are prepared by the forest department
and it will help the tourists to get information about the
floral and faunal diversity that exists here. Introducing
the intercom facility is also in the pipeline.
The corporation is going to build two more
lodges in Lava and one in Loleygaon which will increase the
capacities of accommodation in Lava and Loleygaon. Muruli
also said that every year we had to turn away the visitors
because 16 lodges in Lava and 11 lodges in Loleygaon are booked
to capacity. So increase in the number of lodges will help
these two beautiful places to get more tourists.
