Lava and Loleygaon

Kalimpong, Oct. 24: The West Bengal Forest Development Corporation is planning to promote offbeat places as independent tourist destinations. For this purpose, it plans to add recreation rooms, common rooms and cottages to its nature resorts located at Lava – 99 km from Kalimpong, Loleygaon – 55 km from Kalimpong- and Suntaleykhola, which is 85 km from Siliguri.

Also, the Parenta at Jaldhaka – 103 km from Siliguri – will be promoted as a new destination for tourists in the region. Parenta will be open to tourists from the first week of January, 2006, itself.

The corporation is leaving no stone unturned since it has already published brochures on Lava and Loleygaon with details on accommodation and booking information.
