Gangtok, September 1: It was a nostalgic moment and a treat to the eyes. From the 1890s when photography had just begun in Sikkim - then a Himalayan Kingdom - to shots of cherishing private moments: it had it all.

`Who is behind the camera?` was a photo exhibition held at the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology today. It was inaugurated by the Governor of Sikkim, V. Rama Rao, and will continue till December 31, displaying the works of eight veteran photographers.
