Eco-Tourism

Alipurduar, Sep 9: The Forest Development Corporation is planning to develop and eco-tourism centre at Rajabhatkhawa in Buxa Tiger Reserve.

The training centre in the Reserve along with two other lodges is being converted into tourist bungalows, which will accommodate around 30 people. Online booking for accommodation will also be provided.

Tourists will be able to go for Safaris to places like Jainti, Raimatang and Buxa Hill, or trek along a 1km jungle trail passing through the centre of the Reserve.

However, elephant rides like the one in Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary will not feature at Rajabhatkhawa.
