3 held for stealing bark

The Kurseong police today arrested three persons from Sittong in Kurseong sub-division on charges of stealing cinchona barks weighing over 200 kilograms.
The arrested persons have been identified as Harkaraj Rai (39), Hukum Bhujel(42) and Vivisan Khawas (20). All of them are the residents of Sittong, police said. The trio would be produced in the Kurseong sub-divisional magistrate’s court tomorrow. Mr Tara Kumar Rai, the IC of Kurseong police station, said they have launched a drive to arrest other persons involved in the theft.
