Having an ideal altitude and climate Runglee Rungliot produces premium quality orthodox tea and is one of the oldest brands of the famous Duncuns Company. According to the legend a Buddhist Monk from Sikkim stepped into this garden in search of finest tea. As he inhaled the aroma and the unique taste of this tea he uttered ‘Runglee Rungliot,’ which means ‘this far and no further’. Thus a legend and a garden were created.

Runglee Rungliot The sprawling bungalow with 4 spacious double bed rooms is converted into guest rooms, where the visitors can enjoy an old planter’s comfort in the relaxing atmosphere, as well as can experience the process of tea manufacturing and tea testing. Ideally located between Darjeeling (30kms) and Kalimpong (35kms) with Tista River flowing below, the Garden offers several activities with day excursions to both towns along with the exciting River Rafting apart from the garden tour and village hikes. The garden can also be a nice stopover before going to Gangtok, Kalimpong or Darjeeling.
