Hill Garden in Darjeeling
hills witnesses a history of over 150 years with the sturdy
Bungalow made of wood and stone. The garden was established
by the British Planter Mr. Henry during the 19th Century.
Perched on a hill slopes at over 3000ft at a distance of 35kms
from Siliguri
Selim Hill gives an excellent view of the river valleys of
Balason and Tista along with a glimpse of Kunchenjungha Massif
over the Kurseong
Town. This is also a nice place for viewing sunrise and sunset.
The garden produces one of the finest qualities
of orthodox tea and is regarded as a Biodynamic garden and
is a good study center for tea processing. The garden also
provides a good opportunity for short forest and village hikes,
birding and experiencing the famous 150 years old Darjeeling
Himalayan Railway (DHR) from Tindharia and Gayabari.
