The
Darjeeling
– Sikkim region
in the eastern Himalaya offers some of the best treks anywhere
in the world. The options available are varied and diverse.
Starting from low altitude and jungle treks one may choose
treks reaching up to 20,000 feet. The duration of these treks
may be as short as 2-3 days or as long as 20 days or more.
The best known treks in the region includes
trek to Sandakphu
in Darjeeling region
and trek to Dzongri
in West Sikkim.

Sandakphu is the highest peak in West Bengal.
It provides excellent views to the mountain ranges of Kanchenjunga

only recently. This trek in North Sikkim reaches an altitude
