 Day
1 : Arrival at Siliguri.
Drive to Jaldapara
WLS. Overnight at Halong forest bungalow / Madarihat Tourist
Lodge.
Day 2 : Morning elephant ride inside
the forest (there is no provision of advance booking of elephant
ride and hence the same can not be guaranteed). Return to
forest bungalow for breakfast. After breakfast drive to Lataguri
near Gorumara National
Park. The place is adjacent to the Garumara National Park.
Overnight at Silver
Ridge resort.
Day 3 : Morning safari inside the
Gorumara N.P (10Kms). As you pass through the dense forests
you may come across the rare sight of a leopard licking its
paw from a huge branch or a herd of elephants crossing your
way. Drive to Chapramari
wildlife sanctuary (30kms) via Murti.
Deep inside the Chapramari forests there is a small pond,
where mostly the gaurs or the elephants come to drink water.
The forest rest house inside the forest gives a brilliant
view of the pond surrounded by forests. Overnight halt: Lataguri.
Day 4 : Check out after breakfast
and drive to Kalimpong
(1250M, 130Kms) via Lava
(2200M). The journey will pass through the fascinating river
valley, teagardens and small picturesque villages on rolling
hill slopes. Take a break at Lava and enjoy the breathtaking
landscape that surrounds you. Proceed to Kalimpong through
the pine forests and clouds, transfer to hotel and have lunch.
Free evening for personal activities. Overnight Halt: Kalimpong
Day 5 : Morning sight seeing at the
Durpin Dara top and Delo Top. Both the places offer a magnificent
panoramic view of the Kunchanjungha. Visit to flower nurseries
and century old Lepcha monasteries.
After lunch visit to the downtown market for shopping of traditional
crafts. Overnight halt: Kalimpong.
 Day
6 : Drive to Darjeeling
(2134M) Via Peshok road (60Kms). The journey will pass
through the two great river valleys of the region, The Tista
and The Rangit. Take a top view of the confluence of the rivers
at Lover's Meet. Transfer to Darjeeling Hotel. Free evening
for leisure walk at Mall. Overnight Halt: Darjeeling
Day 7 : Early morning visit to Tiger
Hill for a breath taking view of sunrise over the Kanchanjunga.
Visit to Ghoom monastery & Batasia loop on way back. Full
day sight seeing at Darjeeling Zoo, Himalayan Mountaineering
Institute, Tenzing Rock, Lebong Race Course and Rope way ride
over the Takvar valley tea estate. (ONH: Darjeeling)
Day 8 : In the morning Heritage toy
train ride to Ghoom and back. Visit Rock garden and Gangamaya
Park Observatory Hill. Free evening for marketing of traditional
craft items. (ONH: Darjeeling)
Day 9 : Visit to Jalapahar, DGHC
headoffice at Lalkothi, Tibetan Boudhist Monastery. After
lunch return to Bagdogra / NJP for return / Onwards journey. |
