 Day
1 - Reception at NJP rail station / Bagdogra airport.
Transfer to Darjeeling
(80Kms, 6500ft) via Mirik. The road passes through the
winding ghat roads and lush green tea gardens on the rolling
hill slope. Check in at hotel Evening at leisure. (ONH:
Darjeeling).
Day 2 - Early morning visit to Tiger
Hill for a breath taking view of sunrise over the Kanchanjunga.
Visit to Ghoom monastery & Batasia loop on way back. After
breakfast visit to Rock Garden and Gangamaya lake. Evening
visit to Darjeeling Botanical Garden. (ONH: Darjeeling)
Day 3 - Visit to Darjeeling Zoo,
Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Lebong Race
Course and Rope way ride over the Takvar valley tea estate.
Free evening for marketing and moving around the city. (ONH:
Darjeeling)Day 4 - Drive to Gangtok
and transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure. (ONH: Gangtok)

5 - Spend the day in local sight seeing in and around
Gangtok and will cover all the major tourist attractions including
Rumtek monastery, Enchey Monastery, Tashi Namgayal institute
of Tibetology, Do-Drul Chorten, Ganesh and Tashi view points,
Orchid House etc. (ONH: Gangtok)
Day 6 - Drive to Lachen (130kms,
8838ft). En-route visit at Tashi View Point, Kabi Lungtsok
(historical site), Naga Waterfalls, Confluence of Lacnen Chu
and Lacung Chu, Bhim Nala Waterfalls and Holy Rock at Chunthang.
Lunch at Phodon/Mangan. Over night halt and dinner at Lachen.
Day 7 - Drive to Yumthang
after early breakfast (24kms, 11800ft). Free time to enjoy
the lush green alpine valley covered with colourful rhododendron
forests and encircled by high snow caped mountains. Visit
to the hot spring rich in Sulphur. Drive to Lachung after
lunch. Overnight at Lachung.
 Day
8 - Start for Lachung in the morning. The distance between
Gangtok and Lachung is about 140 km and travels through high
mountains in north
Sikkim. Lunch on the way. Reach Lachung in the afternoon.

Day 9 - Early morning drive to Chopta
valley (33kms 13,200ft) and move to Gurudongmar Lake (another
32kms, 17000ft, foreigners will be restricted to Chopta valley
only). Back to Lachen and halt.
Day 10 - Start for Gangtok
in the morning. Reach Gangtok in the afternoon. Evening at
leisure. (ONH : Gangtok)
Day 11 - Full day excursion to Tsongo
lake at 12000ft. Back to Gangtok in the afternoon. Free
evening for marketing of traditional handicrafts. (ONH:
Gangtok)
Day 12 - Free morning for marketing.
Start for NJP / Bagdogra depending upon your onward / return
schedule. Tour concludes. |
