 Day
1 – Arrival and transfer to Darjeeling. Check in at
Glenburn
or Rongli
Rongliot Tea Garden. Welcome tea on arrival.
Afternoon walk in the garden area and enjoy the serenity.
Evening at leisure. Stay in bungalow.
Day 2 – Morning tea garden
visit with garden assistant and later go for a picnic
lunch to the river bed and then for a session
of tea testing to discover the various aroma of different
teas. After lunch go for an excursion to Darjeeling
town to see the old colonial heritage mingles
with local culture in a scenic landscape under the mighty
Kunchenjungha. You can also have an exciting ride
in the hill train
before coming back to the garden. Evening at leisure. Stay
in bungalow.
Day 3 – After breakfast we leave Darjeeling
and descend to the foothill plains through the winding roads.
Check in at Zurrantee Tea Garden with a warm welcome. After
lunch walk around the garden and factory
and notice the difference of the leaves and tea flavor. Evening
tribal dance around the fire with the rhythm
of drum beat. Stay in bungalow.
Day 4 - We leave the garden after breakfast
and say goodbye to the garden workers before continuing to
onward destination. |
