Day
1 - Arrival and transfer to Kurseong. Check in at the Selim
Hill or Ghoomtee
or Makaibari
Tea Garden. Welcome tea on arrival. Afternoon
walk in the garden and enjoy the serenity. Stay in
bungalow.
Day 2 - Walk to the factory in the morning
to see tea processing and participate
in tea plucking and have interaction with
the workers. Transfer to Darjeeling by The
Heritage Hill Train. Ride up to Ghoom and car
transfer to Rongli
Rongliot or Glenburn
Tea Garden. Welcome tea with check in and have
leisure evening. Stay in bungalow.
Day 3 - Full day tea garden visit
with garden assistant and later go for a picnic lunch
to the river bed and then for a session of
tea testing to discover the various aroma of different
teas. Stay in bungalow.
Day
4 – After breakfast go for an excursion to Darjeeling
town to see the old colonial heritage mingles
with local culture in a scenic landscape under the mighty
Kunchenjungha. Back to the garden in the evening and soak
into the luxury in your cozy room with a cup of hot aromatic
tea. Stay in bungalow.
Day 5 - After breakfast we leave Darjeeling
and descend to the foothill plains through the winding roads.
Check in at Zurrantee Tea Garden with a warm welcome. After
lunch walk around the garden and factory
and notice the difference of the leaves and tea flavor. Stay
in bungalow.
Day 6 – Today we will take you to
an exciting safari to Gorumara
National Park to see the Rhino and elephant
in their natural habitat. Back to the Garden for lunch and
go for a short drive to Samsing and Suntaleykhola river bed
for a nature tour. Evening tribal dance around
the fire with the rhythm of drum beat.
Day
7 – After breakfast we drive to Phaskhawa Tea Garden
close to Buxa Tiger Reserve in the eastern Dooars. Check in
at the Garden and after lunch go for a forest safari
in Buxa Tiger Reserve.
The Reserve bordering Bhutan and Assam is an important natural
shelter for Royal Bengal Tiger and Indian Bison apart for
elephant, leopard, deer and numeral species of birds. This
reserve holds the maximum number of Tigers in North Bengal.
Watch the wild animals roam freely in their natural habitat
from the watch tower inside the park
Day 8 - We leave the garden after breakfast
and say goodbye to the garden workers before continuing to
onward destination. |
