Arunachal Tawang & Kaziranga Escape (10 Days)

Bhalukpong (1 Night), Dirang (1 Night), Tawang (2 Nights), Bomdila (1 Night), Kaziranga (2 Nights), Guwahati (2 Nights)

A scenic journey from Guwahati through the mountains of Arunachal Pradesh to Tawang, followed by wildlife safaris in Kaziranga and Guwahati.

  • Day 01 Arrival at Guwahati and Transfer to Bhalukpong through Assam

    Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and meet your representative. Begin the drive towards Bhalukpong, the gateway to western Arunachal Pradesh. The journey passes through the plains of Assam before gradually approaching the Himalayan foothills. On arrival at Bhalukpong, complete the necessary entry formalities for Arunachal Pradesh and check in to your hotel. The remainder of the evening is free to relax after the journey. Bhalukpong lies along the Kameng River and marks the beginning of the mountain section of the tour. Overnight stay in Bhalukpong.

  • Day 02 Bhalukpong to Dirang via Tippi

    After breakfast, drive towards Dirang through the scenic mountain roads of West Kameng district. En route, visit the Tippi Orchid Centre, located along the Kameng River, where Arunachal's rich orchid diversity can be experienced. Continue through lush forests, mountain valleys and small settlements towards Dirang. Depending on arrival time and local conditions, there may be an opportunity to visit Dirang's hot springs or explore the town. Dirang is known for its natural surroundings, apple and kiwi orchards, hot springs and Monpa culture. Check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Dirang.

  • Day 03 Dirang to Tawang via Sela Pass

    After an early breakfast, drive towards Tawang, crossing some of the most spectacular landscapes of the Eastern Himalaya. The route passes through the Sela Tunnel, which has significantly improved all-weather connectivity towards Tawang. Depending on road and weather conditions, visit the Sela Pass and Sela Lake area, followed by a stop at Jaswant Garh War Memorial, dedicated to Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat of the 4 Garhwal Rifles. Continue through the dramatic mountain terrain towards Tawang. On arrival, check in and rest. Overnight stay in Tawang.

  • Day 04 Explore Tawang's monasteries and heritage

    After breakfast, explore Tawang, one of the most culturally significant destinations in Arunachal Pradesh. Visit the magnificent Tawang Monastery, founded in 1680–81 and regarded as one of the great Buddhist monasteries of the Himalayan region. The monastery stands at around 10,000 feet and houses a richly gilded Buddha image approximately 25 feet high. Continue to the Tawang War Memorial, which commemorates Indian soldiers who lost their lives during the 1962 conflict. The remainder of the afternoon is free to explore local markets and experience the distinctive Monpa culture. Overnight stay in Tawang.

  • Day 05 Tawang to Bomdila through the mountains

    After breakfast, begin the return journey towards Bomdila. Enjoy the changing mountain scenery as the landscape gradually descends from the high-altitude Tawang region towards West Kameng. On reaching Bomdila, check in to your hotel. Later, depending on time and local conditions, visit Bomdila Monastery, the district museum and the local craft and emporium areas. Bomdila is home to several communities including Monpa, Sherdukpen, Aka and Miji, making it an interesting cultural stop on the circuit. Enjoy the evening at leisure and relax after the long mountain journey. Overnight stay in Bomdila.

  • Day 06 Bomdila to Kaziranga through Assam

    After breakfast, drive down from the hills of Arunachal Pradesh towards the plains of Assam. The landscape changes dramatically as the mountains give way to tea-growing areas, villages and the broad Brahmaputra valley. Continue towards Kaziranga National Park, one of India's most celebrated wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On arrival, check in to your resort or hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Depending on the season and time available, optional local activities may be arranged. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

  • Day 07 Elephant and jeep safari in Kaziranga

    Rise early for a wildlife experience in Kaziranga National Park. An elephant safari may be arranged in the Central or Western Range, subject to availability, season and reservation. Return to the hotel for breakfast and some time to relax. Later, proceed for a jeep safari through one of Kaziranga's designated ranges. The park is renowned for its one-horned rhinoceros and also supports elephants, wild buffalo, deer, numerous bird species and a significant tiger population. Safari routes and timings are subject to forest regulations and prevailing conditions. Return to the hotel after the safari. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

  • Day 08 Kaziranga to Guwahati

    After breakfast, drive towards Guwahati through the plains of Assam. The journey provides an opportunity to experience the changing landscape of the state, from the wildlife-rich Brahmaputra valley towards its largest city. On arrival in Guwahati, check in to the hotel and relax. The evening is free for personal activities or exploring the city at leisure. Depending on the arrival time, an optional Brahmaputra river cruise can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to operating schedules and weather conditions. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

  • Day 09 Guwahati sightseeing and Brahmaputra experience

    After breakfast, explore Guwahati's cultural and spiritual attractions. Visit Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra and the Assam State Museum to learn more about the region's history, art and culture. Time permitting, visit the local markets or emporiums for traditional Assamese handicrafts and products. A visit to the revered Kamakhya Temple may also be arranged, subject to temple timings and visitor conditions. In the evening, enjoy an optional cruise on the Brahmaputra River, offering a relaxing way to experience the city and its surroundings. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

  • Day 10 Guwahati hotel to airport or railway station

    After breakfast, check out from the hotel. You will be transferred to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station according to your onward travel schedule. Your memorable journey through the mountains of Arunachal Pradesh, the wildlife landscapes of Kaziranga, and the cultural heart of Assam comes to an end. The tour ends with onward departure from Guwahati.

  • Hotel names are indicative, the actual hotels may be different in case the above hotel is not available on a particular date. The final hotel name will be communicated with the guests before booking confirmation.
  • Meet & Greet upon arrival at the Airport / Station.

  • Cost for any other service not mentioned under the “Inclusions” Head.

  • Cost for Airfare, Train fare.

  • 5% GST on the total billing. 

 

Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellations must be communicated in writing (via email or authorised messaging platform) and will be effective only from the date and time of receipt by the tour operator.

  • Cancellation charges shall be calculated on the total package cost, irrespective of the amount paid at the time of cancellation.

Cancellation Charges

  • More than 21 days before the date of commencement of the tour:
    There would be a processing fee of 2000 levied.

  • Between 15 and 21 days before the date of commencement of the tour: Cancellation charge of 50% of the total package cost.

  • Between 10 and 14 days before the date of commencement of the tour:
    Cancellation charge of 75% of the total package cost.

  • Within 10 days or less before the date of commencement of the tour, or in case of no-show:
    100% cancellation charge. No refund shall be payable.

Important Notes

  • Any non-refundable or non-amendable components (including but not limited to hotel bookings, permits, special vehicle arrangements, or train/toy train tickets) shall be charged in full, irrespective of the time of cancellation.

  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within a reasonable time period after deduction of cancellation charges and any bank or payment gateway fees.

  • In case of early departure, unused services, or voluntary curtailment of the tour, no refund shall be admissible.

  • The tour operator reserves the right to amend or update this cancellation policy in accordance with supplier terms and prevailing regulations.

Child Policy

Child Policy

Children below 5 years of age (Infants / Toddlers)

  • Complimentary stay without an extra bed.

  • Meals, if any, shall be payable directly as per hotel policy.

  • No separate seat will be provided in the vehicle for sightseeing or transfers.

Children between 5 and 10 years of age

  • Accommodated without an extra bed, sharing the room with parents/guardians.

  • The meal plan shall be the same as that of the accompanying parents/guardians.

  • One seat in the vehicle will be provided for the child for all transfers and sightseeing.

Children above 10 years of age

  • Considered as an extra adult for accommodation, meals, and vehicle seating.

  • Accommodated with an extra bed or mattress, sharing the room with parents/guardians.

Important Notes

  • The age of the child shall be calculated as on the date of commencement of the tour.

  • Maximum room occupancy is subject to hotel policies and applicable local regulations.

  • Extra beds are generally provided in the form of a mattress on the floor, subject to hotel standards and availability.

  • Hotels may request proof of age of the child at the time of check-in. In such cases, it is the responsibility of the accompanying parent/guardian to provide valid documentation.

  • In the event of any age-related discrepancy resulting in reclassification of the child by the hotel, any additional charges arising thereof shall be borne directly by the guest and settled on the spot with the hotel.

  • The hotel name mentioned are indicative and not confirmed. Before confirmation of the tour, we will confirm the availability of the hotel and suggest an alternative if the mentioned hotel is not available.
  • In case of bad weather, poor road condition, local or political disturbance, security reasons, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the operations team may decide to make changes in the itinerary. Every effort will be made to consult the guests in such eventuality, however, the decision of the operations team will be final and binding on the guests.
  • In case of young or older persons or persons with health issues or disabilities, consult your doctor about the itinerary. Also if any special arrangement is needed, such information should be given to our team in advance before confirmation of the tour.
  • Arunachal Pradesh is very remote place, so all hotels in this region are basic to very very basic.
  • Road conditions from Bhalukpong to Tawang are very bad
  • To visit Arunachal Pradesh & Nagaland, Indian national requires Inner Line   Permits. Permits are issued in Guwahati which takes 2-3 working days.
  • Documents required: 4 passport size photographs, 1 Photo identity,1   Address proof.
  • For Madhuri lake and Bumla pass need a additional vehicle.
  • Room heaters will be chagebale .
  • Any dispute arising is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Siliguri irrespective of any competence court present at the place of dispute.
