A complete experiential tour through Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. Explore Mawlynnong, Dawki, Cherrapunjee waterfalls, Kaziranga wildlife safaris and the high Himalayan landscapes of Tawang.

  • Day 01 Arrival in Guwahati followed by an introduction to Assamese culture and city attractions.

    On arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you are received and transferred to your hotel. After check in, take some time to refresh and settle in after the journey.Later in the afternoon begin a relaxed introduction to the cultural side of Assam. Visit Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, an important cultural complex dedicated to the life and teachings of the Vaishnavite saint Srimanta Sankardeva. The centre showcases the cultural traditions, art and architecture of Assam.Continue to the Science Museum for an engaging educational visit before proceeding to the Assam State Zoo, one of the largest zoological parks in the region. The day concludes with a visit to the Government Emporium where traditional Assamese handicrafts and textiles are displayed. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

     

  • Day 02 Scenic drive from the plains of Assam to the hills of Meghalaya.

    After breakfast you are received from your Guwahati hotel and begin the drive to Shillong, located about 100 km away. The journey takes around three hours as the road gradually climbs from the plains of Assam into the Khasi Hills.Along the way the landscape changes to rolling hills and pine covered slopes, offering the first glimpse of Meghalaya’s highland scenery. On arrival in Shillong check in at the hotel.The evening remains free to relax or explore nearby local markets at your own pace. Shillong is known for its lively local bazaars and relaxed hill town atmosphere. Overnight stay in Shillong.

     

  • Day 03 Village experience, living root bridge and the clear waters of the Umngot River.

    After early breakfast drive towards Mawlynnong, widely recognised as one of the cleanest villages in Asia. The village is known for its community based cleanliness and traditional Khasi lifestyle.Walk through the village lanes and visit the Sky Walk, a bamboo structure that offers views of the surrounding forests and plains. Nearby you may also see the living root bridge, a remarkable example of Khasi bio engineering where tree roots are guided over years to form natural bridges.Later continue the drive to Dawki near the India Bangladesh border. The route passes through deep valleys and scenic hill roads. At Dawki visit the Umngot River, known for its exceptionally clear waters. The river forms a natural boundary between the Jaintia and Khasi Hills.After sightseeing continue the drive to Cherrapunjee. On arrival check in at the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

     

  • Day 04 Explore waterfalls and viewpoints of one of the wettest regions on earth.

    After breakfast begin sightseeing in Cherrapunjee, also known as Sohra. The region is known worldwide for its high rainfall and dramatic landscapes.Visit Mawkdok Viewpoint which offers wide views of deep valleys and cliffs. Continue to Nohkalikai Falls, one of the tallest plunge waterfalls in India. The itinerary also includes Seven Sisters Falls which flows down a wide cliff face during the rainy season.Cherrapunjee is also known for its limestone formations and unique geological landscape. After completing the sightseeing drive back to Shillong covering around 54 km in about two hours. Check in at the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Shillong.

     

  • Day 05 Shillong cultural sightseeing followed by a drive to Kaziranga National Park.

    After breakfast proceed for a half day Shillong city tour between approximately 830 AM and 100 PM. Begin with a visit to the Don Bosco Museum which presents the diverse cultures and traditions of North East India.Continue to Ward’s Lake where visitors can enjoy boating in a landscaped setting. The sightseeing also includes the Botanical Garden and Lady Hydari Park which display a variety of regional plants and well maintained gardens.After the city tour begin the drive towards Kaziranga National Park in Assam, covering around 270 km in approximately seven hours. The journey descends from the hills into the plains of Assam. On arrival check in at the hotel or wildlife resort. The evening is free to relax. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

     

  • Day 06 Elephant safari and jeep safari exploring the grasslands of Kaziranga.

    Early morning proceed for an elephant safari in the Western Range of Kaziranga National Park subject to availability. Travelling through the grasslands during sunrise offers a chance to observe wildlife at close range.Kaziranga is globally known for the conservation of the endangered One Horned Rhinoceros. The park also supports large populations of Wild Water Buffalo, Asian Elephants and Royal Bengal Tigers.Return to the resort for breakfast and some time to rest. In the afternoon proceed for a jeep safari in the Central Range between around 130 PM and 330 PM.Kaziranga is also a major bird habitat with nearly 500 recorded species. Birds often seen include Crested Serpent Eagle, Pallas Fishing Eagle, Grey Headed Fishing Eagle, Bar Headed Goose, Whistling Teal, Bengal Florican and several species of storks and pelicans. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

  • Day 07 Drive towards Arunachal Pradesh and reach the gateway town.

    After breakfast begin the drive towards Bhalukpong which serves as the gateway to Arunachal Pradesh. The road journey follows the plains of Assam before gradually approaching the forested foothills of the Eastern Himalayas.Bhalukpong is located along the Kameng River and is an important entry point to the West Kameng district. On arrival check in at the hotel. The evening remains free to relax after the drive and enjoy the quiet surroundings. Overnight stay in Bhalukpong.

  • Day 08 Mountain drive into Arunachal Pradesh with orchid research centre visit.

    After early breakfast check out and begin the journey towards Dirang located at about 4910 ft in the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh.En route visit Tipi Orchidarium located on the banks of the Bharali River at an elevation of about 190 metres. This research centre houses more than 7500 orchids and displays several species including Lady’s Slipper and varieties of Dendrobium. Arunachal Pradesh has one of the largest orchid diversities in India.Continue the drive through winding mountain roads and forested valleys before reaching Dirang. After arrival check in at the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Dirang.

     

  • Day 09 High altitude drive across Sela Pass into the Tawang region.

    After breakfast check out and drive towards Tawang located at about 10000 ft in the Eastern Himalayas. The journey gradually climbs through mountain landscapes and remote valleys.En route visit the Jaswant Garh War Memorial which commemorates the soldiers who fought during the 1962 Indo China conflict. Continue the ascent to Sela Pass situated at an altitude of about 13494 ft. The pass is known for its high altitude lakes and changing weather conditions.After crossing the pass continue the drive to Tawang. On arrival check in at the hotel. The evening remains free for rest after the long mountain journey. Overnight stay in Tawang.

     

  • Day 10 Explore the monastery town of Tawang and its high altitude lake.

    After breakfast begin the full day sightseeing tour of Tawang. Visit Tawang Monastery, one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in India and an important religious centre in Arunachal Pradesh.Later drive to Sungester Lake located at about 14500 ft. The lake was formed after a major earthquake in 1950 and is surrounded by rugged mountain landscapes. It is popularly known as Madhuri Lake after scenes from the film Koyla were filmed here.Travellers may also choose an optional excursion to Bumla Pass located around 45 km from Tawang at an altitude of about 15000 ft. This historic pass lies on the Indo China border and is known as the route through which the Dalai Lama entered India while escaping Tibet. The visit can be arranged locally subject to permits and additional cost. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay in Tawang.

     

  • Day 11 Return drive through the mountains with Bomdila monastery sightseeing.

    After early breakfast check out and begin the drive towards Bomdila located at about 7274 ft. The route passes through scenic Himalayan landscapes as you gradually descend from the higher mountains.On arrival check in at the hotel and visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery also known as Upper Gonpa. Later continue to Thub Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery or Lower Gonpa which is an important centre for Buddhist learning in the region.Visit Bomdila View Point which offers wide views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges and valleys. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay in Bomdila.

     

  • Day 12 Return journey from the mountains of Arunachal Pradesh to Assam plains.

    After breakfast check out and begin the drive to Guwahati covering around 335 km in approximately ten hours. The journey gradually descends from the mountains into the plains of Assam.On arrival in Guwahati check in at the hotel. The evening remains free for rest or a short visit to nearby markets depending on arrival time. Overnight stay in Guwahati

  • Day 13 Temple visit followed by transfer for onward journey.

    After early breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to visit the revered Kamakhya Temple located on Nilachal Hill. The temple is one of the most important Shakti Peeths in India and holds deep religious significance.

    After completing the temple visit transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. The journey concludes with travel experiences across Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, covering waterfalls, wildlife habitats and Himalayan landscapes of North East India.

  • Cost for Airfare, Train fare.

  • 5% GST on the total billing. 

 

Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellations must be communicated in writing (via email or authorised messaging platform) and will be effective only from the date and time of receipt by the tour operator.

  • Cancellation charges shall be calculated on the total package cost, irrespective of the amount paid at the time of cancellation.

Cancellation Charges

  • More than 21 days before the date of commencement of the tour:
    There would be a processing fee of 2000 levied.

  • Between 15 and 21 days before the date of commencement of the tour: Cancellation charge of 50% of the total package cost.

  • Between 10 and 14 days before the date of commencement of the tour:
    Cancellation charge of 75% of the total package cost.

  • Within 10 days or less before the date of commencement of the tour, or in case of no-show:
    100% cancellation charge. No refund shall be payable.

Important Notes

  • Any non-refundable or non-amendable components (including but not limited to hotel bookings, permits, special vehicle arrangements, or train/toy train tickets) shall be charged in full, irrespective of the time of cancellation.

  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within a reasonable time period after deduction of cancellation charges and any bank or payment gateway fees.

  • In case of early departure, unused services, or voluntary curtailment of the tour, no refund shall be admissible.

  • The tour operator reserves the right to amend or update this cancellation policy in accordance with supplier terms and prevailing regulations.

Child Policy

Children below 5 years of age (Infants / Toddlers)

  • Complimentary stay without an extra bed.

  • Meals, if any, shall be payable directly as per hotel policy.

  • No separate seat will be provided in the vehicle for sightseeing or transfers.

Children between 5 and 10 years of age

  • Accommodated without an extra bed, sharing the room with parents/guardians.

  • The meal plan shall be the same as that of the accompanying parents/guardians.

  • One seat in the vehicle will be provided for the child for all transfers and sightseeing.

Children above 10 years of age

  • Considered as an extra adult for accommodation, meals, and vehicle seating.

  • Accommodated with an extra bed or mattress, sharing the room with parents/guardians.

Important Notes

  • The age of the child shall be calculated as on the date of commencement of the tour.

  • Maximum room occupancy is subject to hotel policies and applicable local regulations.

  • Extra beds are generally provided in the form of a mattress on the floor, subject to hotel standards and availability.

  • Hotels may request proof of age of the child at the time of check-in. In such cases, it is the responsibility of the accompanying parent/guardian to provide valid documentation.

  • In the event of any age-related discrepancy resulting in reclassification of the child by the hotel, any additional charges arising thereof shall be borne directly by the guest and settled on the spot with the hotel.

  • In case of bad weather, poor road condition, local or political disturbance, security reasons, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the operations team may decide to make changes in the itinerary. Every effort will be made to consult the guests in such eventuality, however, the decision of the operations team will be final and binding on the guests.
  • In case of young or older persons or persons with health issues or disabilities, consult your doctor about the itinerary. Also if any special arrangement is needed, such information should be given to our team in advance before confirmation of the tour.
  • Arunachal Pradesh is very remote place, so all hotels in this region are basic to very very basic.
  • Road conditions from Bhalukpong to Tawang are very bad
  • To visit Arunachal Pradesh & Nagaland, Indian national requires Inner Line   Permits. Permits are issued in Guwahati which takes 2-3 working days.
  • Documents required: 4 passport size photographs, 1 Photo identity,1   Address proof.
  • For Madhuri lake and Bumla pass need a additional vehicle.
  • Room heaters will be chagebale .
  • Any dispute arising is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Siliguri irrespective of any competence court present at the place of dispute.
