  • Day 01 Arrival at Guwahati and scenic drive to Shillong. Evening free in the hill town.

    On arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be received and assisted for your onward drive to Shillong. The journey gradually ascends into the hills of Meghalaya and takes around three hours covering approximately 100 kilometres.Shillong, situated at an altitude of about 6825 ft, is known for its pleasant climate, colonial charm and surrounding pine covered hills. After reaching the town, check in at the hotel and settle in.The evening is free to experience Shillong at your own pace. You may explore nearby streets, cafes and local markets that reflect the relaxed lifestyle of the hill station. Overnight stay at Shillong.

  • Day 02 Excursion to Cherrapunjee with waterfalls, caves and viewpoints.

    After breakfast, begin the excursion to Cherrapunjee, located around 60 kilometres from Shillong. The drive passes through rolling hills and scenic viewpoints typical of the Meghalaya plateau.The first stop is Mawkdok Viewpoint, offering a wide view of deep valleys and forested slopes. Continue towards Cherrapunjee, historically known for receiving one of the highest rainfalls in the world.Visit Nohkalikai Falls, one of the tallest plunge waterfalls in India, followed by the Seven Sisters Falls which dramatically cascade down limestone cliffs during the monsoon season. Continue to Thangkharang Park, from where you can view the plains of Bangladesh on clear days.Later explore Mawsmai Cave, one of the accessible limestone caves in the region where natural formations and narrow passages offer an interesting underground experience.In the afternoon drive back to Shillong. En route stop at Elephant Falls, a well known three tier waterfall close to the town. Also visit Shillong Peak, the highest point in the area, offering a clear view of the city and surrounding hills.   • Day 03 Shillong city sightseeing followed by long drive to Bhalukpong.

    After breakfast, proceed for a half day city tour of Shillong between 8.30 AM and 1.00 PM.Begin with a visit to the Don Bosco Monument and Museum, known for its extensive display on the culture and traditions of North East India. Continue to Ward’s Lake, a landscaped lake in the centre of the town where boating can be enjoyed.The tour continues to the Botanical Garden which showcases a variety of local flora. Later visit Lady Hydari Park, a well maintained garden with pathways, flower beds and small zoo enclosures.After completing the city tour, start the long drive towards Bhalukpong, located at the foothills of Arunachal Pradesh. The journey covers around 300 kilometres and gradually moves from the Meghalaya hills into the plains of Assam and then towards the Eastern Himalayan foothills.Upon arrival check in at the hotel. The evening is free to rest after the journey. Overnight stay at Bhalukpong.

  • Day 04 Drive to Dirang with a visit to the orchid centre at Tippi.

    After an early breakfast, check out and proceed towards Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh. The drive of about 150 kilometres takes around five hours and gradually climbs into the Himalayan ranges.On the way stop at Tippi Orchidarium, located on the banks of the Bharali River. This research centre houses a large collection of orchids, with more than seven thousand varieties found in Arunachal Pradesh. Several rare species are displayed here, making it an interesting stop for visitors interested in Himalayan flora.Continue the drive through mountain roads and river valleys until you reach Dirang, a small hill town located at an altitude of around 4910 ft. Known for its scenic setting and pleasant climate, Dirang acts as an important halt on the way to Tawang.Check in at the hotel and spend the evening at leisure enjoying the calm mountain surroundings. Overnight stay at Dirang.

  • Day 05 High altitude drive to Tawang crossing Sela Pass.

    After breakfast, check out and begin the drive to Tawang, one of the most significant towns in Arunachal Pradesh located at an altitude of around 10000 ft.During the journey visit the Jaswant Garh War Memorial, dedicated to the bravery of soldiers during the 1962 Indo China conflict. The memorial stands as a reminder of the region’s strategic importance and history.Continue the ascent towards Sela Pass, situated at about 13494 ft. The pass is surrounded by snow covered peaks and several high altitude lakes. During winter the landscape often remains covered with snow and frozen lakes.After crossing Sela Pass descend towards Tawang through scenic valleys and mountain terrain. On arrival check in at the hotel.The evening is free to relax and adjust to the altitude. Overnight stay at Tawang.

  • Day 06 Visit Tawang Monastery and Madhuri Lake or optional Bumla Pass excursion.

    After breakfast begin the local sightseeing tour of Tawang.

    Start with a visit to Tawang Monastery, one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in India and an important centre of the Mahayana Buddhist tradition. The monastery complex overlooks the town and houses prayer halls, scriptures and living quarters for monks.Later proceed to Sungester Lake, located at an altitude of around 14500 ft. The lake was formed after an earthquake in 1950 and is also popularly known as Madhuri Lake after the film Koyla was shot here.After spending some time at the lake return to Tawang town in the evening.Alternatively travellers may opt for a visit to Bumla Pass, located about 45 kilometres from Tawang at an altitude of around 15000 ft. This high altitude pass on the Indo China border is known for its remote location and historical significance. The visit requires special permits and can be arranged locally at an additional cost.Overnight stay at Tawang.

  • Day 07 Drive to Bomdila with monastery visits and Himalayan views.

    After early breakfast check out and begin the drive to Bomdila, covering approximately 190 kilometres. The journey takes around eight hours through winding mountain roads and forested landscapes.On arrival check in at the hotel and later visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery also known as Upper Gonpa. This monastery is an important religious centre for the local Buddhist community.Continue to Thub Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery or Lower Gonpa, another peaceful monastery known for its prayer halls and hilltop setting.Also visit Bomdila View Point which offers wide views of the Himalayan ranges and surrounding valleys. On clear days the distant snow covered peaks can be seen from here.Overnight stay at Bomdila.

  • Day 08 Long drive from Bomdila to Guwahati with evening at leisure.

    After breakfast check out and start the journey back to Guwahati. The drive of around 335 kilometres takes approximately ten hours and descends gradually from the Himalayan foothills into the plains of Assam.The route passes through forested stretches, rivers and small towns before reaching Guwahati, the largest city in North East India located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River.On arrival check in at the hotel. The evening is free for leisure, allowing you to relax or explore nearby markets and local eateries. Overnight stay at Guwahati.

  • Day 09 Kamakhya Temple visit and departure from Guwahati.

    After early breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to visit the Kamakhya Temple, one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites in India located on Nilachal Hill. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya and attracts devotees from across the country.

    After the visit you will be transferred to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, marking the end of this Meghalaya and Arunachal experiential tour itinerary filled with diverse landscapes, culture and high altitude Himalayan travel.

  • 5% GST on the total billing. 

 

Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellations must be communicated in writing (via email or authorised messaging platform) and will be effective only from the date and time of receipt by the tour operator.

  • Cancellation charges shall be calculated on the total package cost, irrespective of the amount paid at the time of cancellation.

Cancellation Charges

  • More than 21 days before the date of commencement of the tour:
    There would be a processing fee of 2000 levied.

  • Between 15 and 21 days before the date of commencement of the tour: Cancellation charge of 50% of the total package cost.

  • Between 10 and 14 days before the date of commencement of the tour:
    Cancellation charge of 75% of the total package cost.

  • Within 10 days or less before the date of commencement of the tour, or in case of no-show:
    100% cancellation charge. No refund shall be payable.

Important Notes

  • Any non-refundable or non-amendable components (including but not limited to hotel bookings, permits, special vehicle arrangements, or train/toy train tickets) shall be charged in full, irrespective of the time of cancellation.

  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within a reasonable time period after deduction of cancellation charges and any bank or payment gateway fees.

  • In case of early departure, unused services, or voluntary curtailment of the tour, no refund shall be admissible.

  • The tour operator reserves the right to amend or update this cancellation policy in accordance with supplier terms and prevailing regulations.

Children below 5 years of age (Infants / Toddlers)

  • Complimentary stay without an extra bed.

  • Meals, if any, shall be payable directly as per hotel policy.

  • No separate seat will be provided in the vehicle for sightseeing or transfers.

Children between 5 and 10 years of age

  • Accommodated without an extra bed, sharing the room with parents/guardians.

  • The meal plan shall be the same as that of the accompanying parents/guardians.

  • One seat in the vehicle will be provided for the child for all transfers and sightseeing.

Children above 10 years of age

  • Considered as an extra adult for accommodation, meals, and vehicle seating.

  • Accommodated with an extra bed or mattress, sharing the room with parents/guardians.

Important Notes

  • The age of the child shall be calculated as on the date of commencement of the tour.

  • Maximum room occupancy is subject to hotel policies and applicable local regulations.

  • Extra beds are generally provided in the form of a mattress on the floor, subject to hotel standards and availability.

  • Hotels may request proof of age of the child at the time of check-in. In such cases, it is the responsibility of the accompanying parent/guardian to provide valid documentation.

  • In the event of any age-related discrepancy resulting in reclassification of the child by the hotel, any additional charges arising thereof shall be borne directly by the guest and settled on the spot with the hotel.

  • In case of bad weather, poor road condition, local or political disturbance, security reasons, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the operations team may decide to make changes in the itinerary. Every effort will be made to consult the guests in such eventuality, however, the decision of the operations team will be final and binding on the guests.
  • In case of young or older persons or persons with health issues or disabilities, consult your doctor about the itinerary. Also if any special arrangement is needed, such information should be given to our team in advance before confirmation of the tour.
  • Arunachal Pradesh is very remote place, so all hotels in this region are basic to very very basic.
  • Road conditions from Bhalukpong to Tawang are very bad
  • To visit Arunachal Pradesh & Nagaland, Indian national requires Inner Line   Permits. Permits are issued in Guwahati which takes 2-3 working days.
  • Documents required: 4 passport size photographs, 1 Photo identity,1   Address proof.
  • For Madhuri lake and Bumla pass need a additional vehicle.
  • Room heaters will be chagebale .
  • Any dispute arising is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Siliguri irrespective of any competence court present at the place of dispute.
