An immersive Tawang Kaziranga experiential tour plan through the Eastern Himalayas. Travel from Guwahati to Dirang and Tawang across Sela Pass, then explore Kaziranga wildlife safaris and cultural landmarks of Assam.

  • Day 01 Arrival transfer and cultural exploration of Guwahati city.

    On arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you are received and transferred to your hotel. After check in, take some time to refresh and settle in. Later in the afternoon begin a relaxed introduction to the cultural side of Assam.

    Visit Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, an important cultural complex dedicated to the life and works of the Vaishnavite saint Srimanta Sankardeva. Continue to the Science Museum for an engaging learning experience before proceeding to the Assam State Zoo, one of the largest zoological parks in the region.

    The day concludes with a visit to the Government Emporium where you can explore traditional Assamese handicrafts and textiles. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

  • Day 02 Scenic drive from Assam plains to the foothills of Arunachal Pradesh.

    After breakfast, begin the long but scenic drive towards Bhalukpong, located on the border of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. The journey of around 300 km gradually transitions from the plains of Assam into the forested foothills of the Eastern Himalayas.

    On arrival at Bhalukpong, check in at the hotel and relax after the drive. The evening is free to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of this small border town located beside the Kameng River. Overnight stay in Bhalukpong.

  • Day 03 Drive through mountain landscapes with orchid exploration.

    After an early breakfast, check out and proceed towards Dirang, a picturesque valley town in Arunachal Pradesh located at an altitude of about 4910 ft.

    En route visit Tipi Orchidarium, located on the banks of the Bharali River. This orchid research centre houses more than 7500 orchids and displays some of the most fascinating species such as the Lady's Slipper and several varieties of Dendrobium. Arunachal Pradesh is known for having the largest variety of orchids in India and this stop provides an interesting insight into the region's biodiversity.

    Continue the drive through winding mountain roads and changing landscapes before arriving at Dirang. Check in at the hotel and spend the evening at leisure enjoying the calm mountain setting. Overnight stay in Dirang.

  • Day 04 High altitude Himalayan drive with historic and scenic stops.

    After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the journey towards Tawang, located at about 10000 ft in the Eastern Himalayas.

    En route visit the Jaswant Garh War Memorial which commemorates the bravery of soldiers during the 1962 Indo China conflict. The drive then ascends towards the spectacular Sela Pass at an altitude of around 13494 ft. The pass is known for its high altitude lakes and dramatic mountain views. During winter the region often remains covered in snow.

    After crossing the pass continue the descent towards Tawang. On arrival check in at the hotel and relax. The evening is free to explore the town surroundings or rest after the high altitude journey. Overnight stay in Tawang.

  • Day 05 Monasteries, mountain lake and optional high altitude pass.

    After breakfast, begin the full day exploration of Tawang. Visit the famous Tawang Monastery, one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in India and an important centre of Mahayana Buddhism in the region. The monastery offers impressive views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

    Later drive to Sungester Lake located at around 14500 ft. The lake was formed after a major earthquake in 1950 and is surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes. It is widely known as Madhuri Lake after the filming of the movie Koyla here.

    Alternatively, travellers may opt for an excursion to Bumla Pass located about 45 km from Tawang at an altitude of around 15000 ft. This historic pass on the Indo China border is known as the route through which the Dalai Lama entered India while escaping Tibet. The visit requires special permits and can be arranged locally at an additional cost.Return to the hotel by evening. Overnight stay in Tawang.

  • Day 06 Himalayan drive with monastery visits and mountain views.

    After an early breakfast, check out and drive towards Bomdila, situated at an altitude of about 7274 ft. The journey passes through scenic mountain roads and valleys of Arunachal Pradesh.

    Upon arrival check in at the hotel and proceed for local sightseeing. Visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery, also known as the Upper Gonpa, followed by Thub Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery or the Lower Gonpa. These monasteries provide insight into the Buddhist traditions practiced in the region.

    Later visit Bomdila View Point which offers wide panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges and surrounding valleys. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay in Bomdila.

  • Day 07 Long drive from the Himalayas to Assam wildlife plains.

    After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the drive towards Kaziranga National Park in Assam. The journey of around 300 km descends gradually from the hills of Arunachal Pradesh to the fertile plains of Assam.On arrival at Kaziranga check in at the wildlife resort or hotel. The evening is free to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings of the park area. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

  • Day 08 Wildlife safari experience in Kaziranga National Park.

    Early morning proceed for an elephant safari in the Western Range of Kaziranga National Park subject to availability. The park is globally known for the conservation of the endangered One Horned Rhinoceros and also supports large populations of Wild Water Buffalo, Asian Elephants and Royal Bengal Tigers.

    Return to the hotel for breakfast and check out. Before departing, explore parts of the Central Range of Kaziranga during a short sightseeing drive. The park is also an important bird habitat with around 500 species including Crested Serpent Eagle, Pallas Fishing Eagle, Bar Headed Goose, Whistling Teal and Bengal Florican.Later begin the drive to Guwahati. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

  • Day 09 Temple visit and transfer for onward journey.

    After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to visit the revered Kamakhya Temple located on Nilachal Hill. The temple is one of the most important Shakti Peeths in India and attracts devotees from across the country.Following the visit, transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. The journey concludes with memorable experiences from the Eastern Himalayas and the wildlife landscapes of Assam.

  • Cost for Airfare, Train fare.

  • 5% GST on the total billing. 

 

Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellations must be communicated in writing (via email or authorised messaging platform) and will be effective only from the date and time of receipt by the tour operator.

  • Cancellation charges shall be calculated on the total package cost, irrespective of the amount paid at the time of cancellation.

Cancellation Charges

  • More than 21 days before the date of commencement of the tour:
    There would be a processing fee of 2000 levied.

  • Between 15 and 21 days before the date of commencement of the tour: Cancellation charge of 50% of the total package cost.

  • Between 10 and 14 days before the date of commencement of the tour:
    Cancellation charge of 75% of the total package cost.

  • Within 10 days or less before the date of commencement of the tour, or in case of no-show:
    100% cancellation charge. No refund shall be payable.

Important Notes

  • Any non-refundable or non-amendable components (including but not limited to hotel bookings, permits, special vehicle arrangements, or train/toy train tickets) shall be charged in full, irrespective of the time of cancellation.

  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within a reasonable time period after deduction of cancellation charges and any bank or payment gateway fees.

  • In case of early departure, unused services, or voluntary curtailment of the tour, no refund shall be admissible.

  • The tour operator reserves the right to amend or update this cancellation policy in accordance with supplier terms and prevailing regulations.

Children below 5 years of age (Infants / Toddlers)

  • Complimentary stay without an extra bed.

  • Meals, if any, shall be payable directly as per hotel policy.

  • No separate seat will be provided in the vehicle for sightseeing or transfers.

Children between 5 and 10 years of age

  • Accommodated without an extra bed, sharing the room with parents/guardians.

  • The meal plan shall be the same as that of the accompanying parents/guardians.

  • One seat in the vehicle will be provided for the child for all transfers and sightseeing.

Children above 10 years of age

  • Considered as an extra adult for accommodation, meals, and vehicle seating.

  • Accommodated with an extra bed or mattress, sharing the room with parents/guardians.

Important Notes

  • The age of the child shall be calculated as on the date of commencement of the tour.

  • Maximum room occupancy is subject to hotel policies and applicable local regulations.

  • Extra beds are generally provided in the form of a mattress on the floor, subject to hotel standards and availability.

  • Hotels may request proof of age of the child at the time of check-in. In such cases, it is the responsibility of the accompanying parent/guardian to provide valid documentation.

  • In the event of any age-related discrepancy resulting in reclassification of the child by the hotel, any additional charges arising thereof shall be borne directly by the guest and settled on the spot with the hotel.

  • In case of bad weather, poor road condition, local or political disturbance, security reasons, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the operations team may decide to make changes in the itinerary. Every effort will be made to consult the guests in such eventuality, however, the decision of the operations team will be final and binding on the guests.
  • In case of young or older persons or persons with health issues or disabilities, consult your doctor about the itinerary. Also if any special arrangement is needed, such information should be given to our team in advance before confirmation of the tour.
  • Arunachal Pradesh is very remote place, so all hotels in this region are basic to very very basic.
  • Road conditions from Bhalukpong to Tawang are very bad
  • To visit Arunachal Pradesh & Nagaland, Indian national requires Inner Line   Permits. Permits are issued in Guwahati which takes 2-3 working days.
  • Documents required: 4 passport size photographs, 1 Photo identity,1   Address proof.
  • For Madhuri lake and Bumla pass need a additional vehicle.
  • Room heaters will be chagebale .
  • Any dispute arising is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Siliguri irrespective of any competence court present at the place of dispute.
